We are the wonderful woodpecker class! Mrs. Frost teaches us for four days and Ms. teaches us on Mondays. Miss. Harper and Mrs. Emery are our teaching assistants.
This term our topic is the Ancient Egyptians and we have enjoyed finding out about their ways of life and their culture. We have tried mummifying pieces of fruit and also making shaduf water apparatus. Our clay shabti models are beautiful.
We work hard on our English and maths in the mornings and enjoy choosing our own maths challenges to stretch our brains! This term our reading challenge is to try to fill the giant sarcophagus with mummified creatures and we are doing well so far as we read lots at home.
We look forward to our PE sessions with our Coach on Thursdays and we always go outside to learn new skills and team games. Fridays see us learning recorders and we are aiming to play a tune very soon!
We have 2 minions every day who are the class monitors and they are responsible for giving out books, maths trugs, taking messages around the school and reminding Mrs. Frost about anything she has forgotten! We have 4 class pets: our 3 stick insects and Stephanie, our small fig tree who we water once a week.
