Robins. Reception and Year 1

Welcome to Robin Class!

Yes, September has finally arrived, and your child is starting school!  This is an exciting but nervous time for both parent and child, but we want to make the first experiences of school as fun, exciting and stimulating as possible!

Some questions you might have…

When do we come into school?

The first week is:

Monday 7th September   1.15- 2.30am  you are invited along too!

Tuesday 8th September

Wednesday 9th September

Thursday 10th September

Friday 11th September

How shall we come into the school?

In the interests of safety, the children are following the footpath from the Parent car park and then in the classroom through the back entrance.  But don’t worry we will be there to meet you!

What things do I need for school?

>Packed lunch and water

>School uniform

>PE Kit with plimsoles - this will need to be left in school until half term.

>Trainers for PE outside

>Wellies for outdoor play – these will need to be left in school until half term.

>A change of underwear – just in case!

Please ensure everything is well-labelled!

We appreciate getting uniforms is proving challenging so if you need to make adaptions then don’t worry – we just want to see you in school!

What do we do about lunches?

You can have a packed lunch from school, we will provide you with the options in the first week.  Or you can bring in your own packed lunch.  Please bring in a labelled water bottle to – we like to stay hydrated for the day.

Children can have a fruit snack during the morning too – which we will provide.

If you have any questions please do contact us.

We are really looking forward to meeting the children and beginning their learning journey at Swanton Abbott!
